a collection of fine art works created by some of Chicago’s most
talented young scenic, lighting, and costume designers. Both collections
take the theatrical work of these artists as a starting point and move
on to explore their range of artistic interests and visions

The
Building Stage has earned a reputation for having one of the strongest
visual aesthetics in Chicago's Off-Loop theater scene. Their "gorgeously
spare productions have a sleek, industrial-loft sort of beauty
that, like modern art, conveys meaning through sheer line."
The company’s latest creation, a unique adaptation of the
classic vampire myth Dracula in a production
inspired by silent films and graphic novels |

Sculpture Works facilitates a creative exchange amongst the
artists and with the community. Founded by sculptor Jim Brenner, the
collective of working artists seeks to support the mechanics of producing
art through shared equipment, promotions, and knowledge.
Each member
of Chicago Sculpture Works has a private studio plus access to a
common work area with tools, and equipment. Artists are promoted
through studio publicity efforts as well as group exhibition opportunities.
